SAY NO TO TIMS THICKET
LIQUID WASTE PROPOSAL!
We are disappointed that the EPA have made the
decision to allow the City of Mandurah’s (CoM) proposal
to reinstate the septage site at Tim’s Thicket. This is
despite the fact that:
•
it was not listed in any of the EPA search engines to
enable the public to find it to make a response
•
over 100 resident objections, listed as part of the
BCCG submission, were counted as a single objection
by the EPA
•
the CoM have NOT put the matter through for
Federal EPBC act approval
•
the CoM have NOT met their environmental
obligations on the site over 14 years of use!
The matter now has to go through the Department of
Water & Environment (DWER) for final approval.
We will soon have a period of 21 days to have our last
regulatory say!
If you would you like to be notified
when the DWER consultation
period opens please REGISTER your

Thicket Septage Update

voted down by the City of
